About WUMUNS
The Washington University Model United Nations Symposium began as a small conference, and now is in its third year. Organized and staffed by the current members of Washington University’s traveling Model UN team, WUMUNS aims to promote education and awareness through hands-on experiences dealing with real international issues. We are proud to host a conference that stresses small, interactive committees.
All of the committees at WUMUNS 2010 are designed to hold thirty delegates or less, distinguishing WUMUNS from larger conferences with committees that can accommodate hundreds of delegates. We firmly believe that it is through small committees that students have the best opportunities to participate and learn about international diplomacy. By ensuring small committee sizes, we can be certain that every delegate has the opportunity to play an integral part in all discussions that occur, and resolutions that are passed. Through debates and simulated crises, we hope to bring the world of politics and international relations to life for our delegates.
